Pecos
and Santa Fe wilderness regions, Gila and Cibola National
Forests
Hunts
take place throughout the entire state of New Mexico.
We will hunt areas of the state that have received
the most beneficial rainfall in the earlier parts
of the year. This will allow us to hunt bears which
have had plenty of food throughout the spring and
summer months making for bigger bears with
nicer coats.
All hunts are pack-in hunts.
Your meals will be prepared over campfires and you'll
be sleeping under the stars in some of the most scenic
back-country of New Mexico. Your New Mexico licensed
guide will provide tents, camping supplies and food.
In case of extreme weather, rooms and transportation
will be provided. Hunts are not cancelled due to inclement
weather. Your guide will see to all needs and tailor
make your hunt during your stay.
Bear hunts are made to accommodate
the hunter's needs. You can hunt ambush style
or stalk type hunts or you can engage in extreme high
impact chase hunts. Chase hunts cover more ground
and can be more productive.
All Mt. Lion hunts are extreme
high impact chase hunts.
We will
be hunting predators and as a result there is always
a chance of injury or even death resulting from the
game that we are pursuing. In addition, we will be
hunting in rough terrain and, at times, extreme weather
conditions. It is your responsibility to inform your
guide of your physical aptitude prior to your hunt
so that he can accomodate your needs. Injury and death
can occur while hunting in rough terrain, extreme
weather or when encountering wild game. Your guide
will attempt to take all precautions possible to ensure
a safe hunt, however although he is a, "Professional
Outdoorsman" and licensed by the state of New
Mexico, (no absolute guarantee of total
safety can be made when wild animals are involved).
You will be required to sign a contract
of understanding and a waiver prior to your hunt.
